04SL Sports Day Ends 2025 Season in Style

04 SOCCER LEAGUE:
Chapongo FC Crowned League Champions & Chilli Boyz FC Take Runners-Up Spot

Village 4B, Manyuchi – The 26th of December 2025 will be remembered as a landmark day for football lovers in Bikita East as Village 4B hosted the grand 04 Soccer League Awards and a thrilling Terra Firma Super Cup showdown. Communities from all corners of the Bikita East gathered in huge numbers, creating a lively atmosphere filled with cheers, colour, excitement and celebration of local football talent.

Chapongo FC walked away as the 2025 Champions of the 04 Soccer League, securing their place in history, while the spirited Chilli Boyz FC claimed the runners-up title after a solid campaign.

As part of recognising exceptional talent across participating clubs, Best Player per Team awards were presented, each recipient receiving a brand-new pair of soccer boots. The honoured players were:

* Bhobho Tinotenda (Chapongo FC)
* Zvaipa Panganai (Chilli Boyz FC)
* Pfumo Chacnois Ticharwa (4B FC)
* Mufundirwa Believe (Chishakwe V3 FC)
* Zvirimo Bernard (Gedhe FC)
* Muchabarwa Theophelus (5 Stars FC)
* Ganya Pardon (Dukuhwe FC)
* Mawere Calvin (Mamutse FC)
* Machaka Tadiwanashe (4A Vikings FC)
* Chebhiri Garikai (Six FC)
Each club also walked away with a brand-new soccer ball, an envelope with some tokens of appreciation as well as a brand-new soccer kit with 15 shirts, 15 shorts and 15 pairs of socks.

TERRA FIRMA SUPER CUP
Sponsored by Walter Gadzai of Village 4B, the Terra Firma Super League added intensity to the day with both semi-final and final matches played.

In the semi-final, 4B FC battled Chishakwe V3 FC, with Chishakwe securing a 2–1 victory thanks to a brilliant brace from Vengere Lenox.

Before the final kicked off, fans were treated to a nostalgic and entertaining Legends Match, where veteran players rolled back the years in a spirited encounter. The game ended 2–1, with the winning Legends team walking away with $30, while the runners-up received $20. The match brought laughter, memories and strong applause from supporters who enjoyed seeing their former heroes back on the field.

Later, the main final saw Chilli Boyz FC clash with Gedhe FC, ending 1–1 in regulation time. With tension high, Chilli Boyz sealed victory 4–2 on penalties, claiming the Terra Firma Super League title to the delight of their fans.

Individual Brilliance Shines

Award presentations followed, with Vhengere Lenox of Chishakwe V3 FC becoming the star of the tournament after scooping:

⚽ A hat-trick ball for his group stage performance against Chilli Boyz FC

Chilli Boyz goalkeeper Tarova Alfred earned the Golden Glove after an outstanding run of clean sheets.
The tournament referees walked away with full officiating uniform, a whistle and a pen and a $20 cash prize
The tournament winner Chilli Boyz FC walked away with $150, runners-up Gedhe FC $100, number 3 Chishakwe V3 FC $50 while the host 4B FC $30.

All honours were presented by Ward 24 Councillor Mr. Steven Chakaamba, who commended the level of talent and discipline shown throughout the league. The ceremony was smoothly managed by Masters of Ceremony Robert Gadzai and Sam Nechipani of 4A Vikings FC.


Security & Atmosphere

A special vote of thanks was extended to the Zimbabwe Republic Police Chikuku Branch for maintaining safety and order throughout the sporting event and awards ceremony.

The atmosphere was electric—filled with music, ululations, joy and unity as villagers mingled freely, celebrating the fruits of their labour throughout the year.

The 04 Soccer League continues to play a vital role in social development within Bikita East. Its mission is to:

* Reduce early child marriages
* Combat livestock theft and wildlife poaching
* Promote and expose young football talent in the community
